Jeannie McLain established Society Pet Spa in 2012 and served as the primary groomer during its early years. Now the operations manager, she no longer works exclusively at the spa, but continues to oversee the business with the same dedication and care. Jeannie’s lifelong love of animals began on a small farm in Jacksonville, where she grew up surrounded by hounds and huskies raised by her father. She is the proud mother of three wonderful children and the doting grandmother of two precious grandsons.

Danna Wood, joined our organization in 2015 and brought with her 25 years of experience. She was recently voted "Best Groomer" in St. Augustine in Folio Magazine. Her furry customers leave the spa feeling pampered and beautiful. If you're looking for that perfect breed specific haircut, Danna can deliver. She is also an excellent cat groomer.

In addition to the excellent services offered to the general public, Jeannie also participates in our "Abandoned to Adored" program by helping shelter dogs become delightfully adoptable. Visit our Abandoned to Adored webpage to watch the transformation of Cookie. Click Here

The Grooming Salon is located in our beautifully renovated space. Sparkling clean in a relaxing environment, the facility has been transformed from an animal shelter to a pet owner's resource center which incorporates programs such as a community pet food bank, a charity clinic, dog training services, and a low-cost spay neuter cooperative - all designed to prevent the needless relinquishment of pets to shelters.
