We are proud to report that our grooming salon is growing and serving many happy dogs. As a Society Pet Spa client, you know your canine family member will receive excellent care from our talented and loving groomers, Jeannie McLain and Danna Wood. AND....all grooming proceeds benefit the programs of the St. Augustine Humane Society.
Jeannie McLain, skilled with all breeds - small and large, she has a special talent for making her precious pups feel like the most important dogs in the whole wide world while they're here at the Society Pet Spa. Jeannie's love of animals started at an early age growing up on a small farm in Jacksonville where her father raised hounds and huskies. She has three beautiful children and two precious grandsons and is also the proud owner of an adorable little rescued pug named Lucky.
Danna Wood, joined our organization in 2015 and brought with her 25 years of experience. She was recently voted "Best Groomer" in St. Augustine in Folio Magazine. Her furry customers leave the spa feeling pampered and beautiful. If you're looking for that perfect breed specific haircut, Danna can deliver. She is also an excellent cat groomer.
Nikki Perry: A native Floridian, Nikki has had a passion for animals ever since she was a child. She has been a pet stylist for ten years and has experience with all dog breeds. Her calming nature can make the most nervous pups feel safe. She'll love to spoil your fur baby by treating them as her own. Nikki's babies are Boston, a bull mastiff and Diesel, a rescue American bulldog mix. Come meet her and let her pamper your pup for a spa day.
In addition to the excellent services offered to the general public, Jeannie also participates in our "Abandoned to Adored" program by helping shelter dogs become delightfully adoptable. Visit our Abandoned to Adored webpage to watch the transformation of Cookie. Click Here
The Grooming Salon is located in our beautifully renovated space. Sparkling clean in a relaxing environment, the facility has been transformed from an animal shelter to a pet owner's resource center which incorporates programs such as a community pet food bank, a charity clinic, dog training services, and a low-cost spay neuter cooperative - all designed to prevent the needless relinquishment of pets to shelters.
